“When Marci’s husband passed away suddenly, she was bereft. She moved in with her daughter’s family, but her spirits continued to drag. A social worker recommended Greenwich Adult Day Care. Marci’s daughter explains “Mom has a purpose now.” Each day Marci returns home happy and looks forward to tomorrow. Since going to GADC Marci has made new friends, hobbies, and has returned to her gardening and volunteer work. Marci tells people ‘it’s the best gift you can give a loved one!’”
“Dad had dementia and was very disoriented. We went for a visit to GADC. I was concerned I was putting Dad in a nursing home but he was happy just to be going somewhere. I was afraid to leave him. I cried after leaving him. Well…my tears were unnecessary! When I picked Dad up that day, he seemed very happy. He told me the staff at GADC were very nice and knew just how to talk to him. He even made a new friend, Lee, and they had a lot to talk about. My Dad’s days were full and I had my life back.”
